Mengenal Part of Speech

Dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris tentu kita harus mengenal yang namanya Part of Speech. Nah, apa saja sih part of speech itu. Mari kita lihat!

1.      Noun               : “noun” sering dideskripsikan sebagai nama dari sesuatu “something” termasuk orang, tempat, benda. For exampleètable, chair, crocodile, George, etc.

2.      Pronoun           :

3.      Adjective        : kata yang menerangkan “noun” example èbeautiful, handsome, rich, long, short, etc.

4.      Verb                : kata kerja. Nah, kata kerja itu ada 6 kelas yaitu TRANSITIVE VERB, INTRANSITIVE VERB, DITRANSITIVE VERB, INTENSIVE VERB, COMPLEX-TRANSITIVE VERB, dan PREPOSITIONAL VERB. For example èswim, run, write, dance, etc.

5.      Adverb                        : fungsi adverb adalah me-modifies verb, adjective, dan another adverb.

For example è1. Adverb modify verb: the girl cried loudly. 2. Adverb modify adjective: the girl is beautiful. 3. Adverb modify another adverb: the baby cried very loudly.

6.      Preposition      : kelas kata yang mengekspresikan hubungan dari tempat, arah (petunjuk), waktu. For example èof, at, to, from, till, with, etc.

7.      Conjunction    : kata penghubung. Ada subordinate dan coordinate.

For example è1. Subordinate conjunction: because, etc. 2. Coordinate: and. Etc.

8.      Interjection      : kata seru. For example è uh oh (mencemaskan)
